• The mass effect solution dislocates the radioactive element/s from material or skin enabling them to be removed along with the mass effect solution.

• The solution containing the radioactive elements can then be picked up with paper toweling, absorbent pads, or rags. A water vacuum incorporating an ion exchange filter can also be used.
• The rubbery paint can be peeled from the surface to which it was applied.
• The solution containing the radioactive elements can be processed with ion exchange resin (small resin spheres) which concentrates the radioactivity.
