| Since September 11, 2001, there has been increased awareness of the possible disastrous disruptions that a chemical, biological, or nuclear terrorist attack might cause. Although there have been various solutions produced and tested for the remediation of chemical and biological contamination, no effective solution exists for nuclear contamination.
A likely terrorist weapon might be what is usually described as a "Dirty Bomb". "Dirty Bombs" are small explosive devices made from conventional explosives attached to radioactive elements such as plutonium, uranium, cesium, cobalt, etc. When exploded, "dirty bombs" may cause relatively little physical damage to a building or area, but can contaminate larger areas and surfaces with poisonous radiation. RDS products work quickly and efficiently to decontaminate radioactive areas.
RDS is also working with local and state governments throughout the country in developing a "first responders' kits" which will include RDS solutions for decontamination.
Our research teams are also working with the appropriate federal governmental agencies to test our products for human skin decontamination.
